LJ's Story - Sweeney the cause of his lameness

I can't thank and admire Vicki more. My beautiful boy showed lameness, and like all of us I went through the normal process of engaging the vets to try and find the cause. After X-rays showed that he was slightly unbalanced we were recommended box rest, medication, and regular shoeing to gain full recovery.  We followed this to a tee, and he started to show recovery but once again came up lame after a month.  I decided to take my boy to Vicki’s after being recommended by a friend.  We made the 3.5 hr trip to Hawkes Bay, and this was the best thing I could have done. Vicki not only did remedial shoeing and body work, but she took him into the arena and within 5minutes confirmed the issue.  He had Sweeney.  Now he is in rehabilitation, but with no medication.  We are working towards a full recovery to include Show jumping and Show Hunter competitions.  Vicki’s knowledge and expertise from just watching the horse move is outstanding.  I can't recommend Vicki more highly if you want to get to the bottom of any issue your horse may have.
